Description: Design, build, validate and test prototype products incorporating photovoltaic devices for consumer, industrial and government applications
We're developing solar materials that are lightweight, flexible and more versatile than traditional solar materials. This new breed of coatable, flexible, plastic photovoltaics can be used in a wide range of applications where traditional photovoltaics cannot compete. Our technical advances will expand the relevance of solar technology across product lines, as well as across geographic divides, providing lower cost energy wherever it is needed
Duties:
*Develop prototype products and design building blocks to provide reference designs for photovoltaic-based applications.
*Create new applications incorporating photovoltaics to stimulate customers thought processes and help open new market segments
*Work with customers on product design.
*Provide documentation suitable for regulatory approvals (UL, CSA, etc.) and customer operations.
Required Qualifications:
*Exp in product development involving design of electronic circuit and software/firmware development to support DC-DC conversion, DC power regulation, DC-AC conversion, etc.
*BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 5-10 yrs of relevant exp. Advanced degree preferred.
*Strong communication skills and exp interacting with customers.
*5-7 yrs solar field and applications exp
Strongly Preferred:
*Exp in analog and digital design.
*Exp with AC grid connected applications including DC-AC conversion, use and selection of inverters, connectors and busses meeting code for specific applications.
