About our company:
Berkley Networks Corporation is a venture focused on bringing a new utility for retailers to market. Our technology is a new, easy to deploy shopping utility that enables consumers to bookmark and add to a wish list products from retailers' e-commerce sites, print advertisements, or even while shopping in stores.
We are looking for a contract UI Designer for a 3-week engagement. We are a dynamic group with a tight deadline. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality work on time and on budget. You must be flexible and able to thrive within a dynamic, fast-paced environment while adhering to our processes and policies.
The position is based in New York City and no telecommuting is available.
Skill set requirements:
- Ability to conceptualize and implement designs for dynamic and static pages
- Eagerness to share ideas and problem-solve creatively
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
- Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
- Ability for modification and adjustments to existing templates and pages
- Able to take flat graphic templates and create streamlined XHTML documents stylized
- Extensive HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT development skills (Hand-coding)
- Experience working with AJAX
- Experience with FLASH
