About our company:
Berkley Networks Corporation is a venture focused on bringing a new utility for retailers to market. Our technology is a new, easy to deploy shopping utility that enables consumers to bookmark and add to a wish list products from retailers' e-commerce sites, print advertisements, or even while shopping in stores.
The Front End Developer Role:
The Front End Developer will play a key role in continuing design, development, deployment and operations of the company's products and services in a consistent and efficient manner.
The primary responsibility will be hands-on development of our front end application. We require our team members to take ownership of the design and development efforts.
We are looking for a contract position, but full time employment may be an option for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality work on time and on budget. You must be flexible and able to thrive within a dynamic, fast-paced environment while adhering to our processes and policies.
The position is based in New York City and no telecommuting is available.
Skill set requirements:
- HTML/XHTML
- CSS
- Ajax
- Javascript
- JSON
- DOM
- Cross Browser Compatibility
- Knowledge of Web 2.0 and Social Technologies
- Strong ability to multi task
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Aptitude for creatively solving unstructured business problems
- Minimum 4 years of post-college experience directly relevant to the responsibilities described above.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science from a top school is preferred. |
